LINDA LOVE
Linda Love
comes from a musical family and received her first piano lessons from her mother, Sylvia Amsterdam Shlutz. Subsequently, she worked with many excellent teachers including Aube Tzerko and Sara Compinsky. Linda received a first prize in piano in the Orange County Young Musicians Contest and a first prize for the interpretation of romantic music in the International Piano Recording Competition. A graduate of U.C.L.A. with a B.A. in Music “cum laude”, she was a member of the faculty of Loyola Marymount University for 13 years and continues to teach privately |

Her solo recitals have taken her to many universities, private homes, and recital series. She has also given a special recital of Piano Music for Children. For several years she was the accompanist for the U.C.L.A. Dance Company Concerts. She was invited to give recitals on the islands of Guam and Maui, and has toured extensively in Switzerland. She has also performed on the Community Concert Series at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center, the Palmdale Playhouse, and the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara. |

As a concert soloist, Ms. Love has appeared with a number of orchestras including the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra, U.C.L.A Symphony, California Chamber Symphony, Antelope Valley Symphony, Beach Cities Symphony, Valley Symphony, Ventura Community Orchestra, San Luis Obispo Symphony and American Youth Symphony. |

Linda feels that music is a creative learning process whose meaning is never fixed, but constantly reveals itself in the moment it is lived. For her, “Music is a conversation of the heart, of the feelings we share together as human beings.” |
